A Ride With Johor Race Spec Saga

ok ok ok, i know its using front Iswara facelift -_-'
had the opportunity to meet with Amin Tech from Johor, which 1 of a well known name in Pasir Gudang Clubman Race Series. they participated in Saturday Nite Fever event (race car category), on 10/12/2011 (drive all the way from Johor!), managed to secure 8th position with best time of 1:27mins (kalau tak silap). wut makes me want to know more, coz of the handling. wondering around in their pit (biase la,budak2 lain semua tgk kete mahal), i introduced myself, and they (crew) did share few important points. cool! :D

bare in mind, as they need to follow Johor regulation, both cars running on Silverstone Synergy M3, 13" otr tyres, no slick allowed, stock extractor, stock brake servo and brake system, retain the oem carburetor (yes! bukan injection, or bukan 4 throttle la, drag takpe la takde rules, suke hati mak bapak je), stock air filter box. cite best, the next following day (Ahad), ade RCA track day (private session) and with their permission, i got myself a taxi ride in the blue Saga, driven by Amin himself. i'm speechless, and yet macam nak terjun keluar during turn 12 and turn 13, its handle well and of course, with a very experience driver behind the wheel.

all i need now, to end my drag thingy and start a new track experience. thanks to them la :D, ade perumpaan lame berkata "kalau ko boleh bawak Saga, maka ko boleh bawak kete lain"..(dalam track la adoi)

dyno, setup, dyno, setup, surprisingly dah nak masuk 2012. been listening to all the stories, the lover, the hater, the er..atas pagar? gained more info and yet, require a ridiculous amount of money. *letak lengan atas dahi kejap*...to play along with the big boys (of course with plenty of kechingg $$)..critical thinking for this tiny engine is crucial in order to maximize the power within the budget. but how? pening.. most of the website (matsalleh la luar sane,semua sembang bagi bimbang je,nyanyi lebih) helping sikit je in contribute the info...just theory n theory n theory n theory..and people love to read rather spending time on track/dyno to make it happen. its MORE than what the theory said.

with all the mistakes/testing done previously in 2011, its the cash flow that's matter now. running without main sponsorship (in term of money la, but lots of support from friends,family) i need to boost up a lil' bit more for the coming new year. I've survived in 2011 with achievement, and I'm hoping it would be the same next year but with new fresh appearance.

1 of the soon-to-be famous mixture in Malaysia (actually few edi using it, diam2 lor), not hard to find it, aah u can even find it in Sunway.

so, benefit adding up Toluene with RON97?
smells the same, and surely, nobody knows about it.
a cheaper alternative to race fuel, and u can brag all day long about ur special blend of RON97.

power wise? have a try..it's a secret. (proper tuning is advisable)

p/s=if the stated car claimed of having the same specification with your current setup, but it run way faster, i believe logical thinking is involve here. Be smart.

Ceramic Coating By Dynatech :D

i decided to send out my "4-1 Cap Ayam - Non Proven Scavenging Effect" extractor to Dynatech for ceramic coating, saje boring nothing to do la... i'm not a fan of chrome or double chrome thingy, as ahhh.. do Google up lah. Dynatech do offer few types such as Satin Black, Mag Silver, Vista Black and Jet Black.

i end up with Jet Black (withstand up to 2000F) color selection and it took few days to get the job done. it has to go through few complicated process for great result! hehehe.. Ceramic does reduce radiated heat in the engine bay thus resulting in more horsepower..hmmm..i don't have any dyno chart yet to back it up (tho its personal la..hahaha)..but basically its 1 of the improvement that ceramic offered.

you heard your friend talking cock with their so called "mild-cam" blooming over in drag/street scene, claiming their is the best in the world? nahh..u got it wrong man..how many times do i need to mention not to do it as what mainstream r doing?

u want to go fast, but u stick with the mainstream, come on la..unless if you put some race fuel such as q16 or c16, even stock kancil engine will perform better la with race fuel..what? i'm wrong? yah..wutever dude lolx..

cut to the chase, 1 of proven camshaft in drag scene by Matspeed (yah i know matspeed usually has regrind type only) BUT, thanks to them, billet type 320deg camshaft now available for our beloved 4G15 Megavalve engine. capable revving more than 9000rpm (of course ur compression target will definitely crucial when using this camshaft). jz 2 remind dat this won't suit ur daily use, ye la, dah kate nak race, nak laju, sacrifice la skit, if not, letak race fuel pakai camshaft standard..setel..hahahaha..(sarcastic kan? well..)

u can judge it by looking at the camshaft lobe (refer pic no.2) and its a serious stuff. The kit comes with an aftermarket performance valve spring and titanium retainer.

a brief details..
drag event held by forum saga utara & gsrforum.net on 1/10/2011, located in Kg.Gajah,Perak.
awesome weather, 1st place in 1.5L category and 2nd place in 1.6L category.
data collected and conclude that 4g15 has reached its end with the stock internal part, in order to cope up with 4G91 & 4g92 (surely la 1.6), i'll need more funding and time to figure out every bits required for next build.

thanks to all my friends who help me out :D..next time kite gempur lagi..remember, 4g15 sohc je bro.. :P..

Sepang Drag Battle - Round 4 2011 (Cari Pasal lol)

seriously, i didn't thought of participating in sepang drag (yet!), thanks to 1 of my friend who did a brain wash session, here i am, rolling out in this round 4 just to get my 1/4 miles time slip.

didn't hope it will run fast with the current setup, plus i do carry more weight as the regulation shown minimum weight will be 750kg in F category (2liter NA), darn! will try to tweak some stuff before the next upcoming event. eventually, the drag was cancelled due to heavy rain & i'm lucky enough to do a practice run. it's a new experience for me, being surrounded with the big boys, adoi! not to mention of having difficulties during pre-stage too!

hoping all things will be ok before new setup hits the road and i'll try to get the best time for 4G15 jz like what Bisimoto did to his D-series. its going to take a huge amount of $$ & time, but most importantly having a promising result. thanks to all my friends, Pitwork in getting the car to run accordingly (last minute bai tukar minyak hitam and tow truck arrangement) hahaha..

KING Engine Bearings For Proton 4G15 Megavalve

okey, another item that i've been waiting for has arrived.
apart of having ACL bearing, another option available will be KING bearing.
as ACL does not produce any RACE series for 4G15 SOHC 1990-1992 (just a normal aluglide and duraglide type), I have no choice but to choose KING. i'm aware of its history, just i need an insurance for my internal parts in future. (not dat typical revving under 8000rpm ok)

ARP Head Studs for Proton 4G15 Megavalve

just some highlight, a custom made ARP head studs is now available for Proton 4G15 (which using M9 thread size) as we know this is the weakest part in 4G15. Frustrated with this problem in every event (head terangkat la bos), hopefully this will put an end to all the headache.

as many know that ARP bolt for evo 4g63, 4g93 gsr(most using 3SGTE Toyota kit, duh!) kinda cheap (of course in Sunway la, where else kan?), don't get overly excited as this custom set does not come cheap.

selling for RM700/set, i'm only looking at a serious buyer, (do some homework and you'll know that some company selling over RM1000 (when converted)..hehehe..mentang2 ade nama, geng Blueprint kot wahahahahaha) :P

i just realized that its the month of July...its been 7 months awaiting for my new breed of 4g15 to be done. looking into today modification, i could only wondering why people choose the mainstream mod? over n over, people love to just follow in hope to gain the same figure/performance. altho its proven, but in drag strip, u'll encounter the true rival, rather than some small potato u found oh the road. simple, u can't just apply the "mainstream mod" in drag world. people can brag/kompang anything in magazine about their spec, but it does not apply to an experience people, (like me? lol).

do your own homework, theory is not everything, u can talk all day long about theory on paper. figure out what else can be done. $$ is vital in order to get stuff done. if u think that 4g15 is a cheap playground, think again.

Melaka Sprint Test - Bukit Rambai 17 April 2011

decision made (itu pon after i got enough cash for the tow truck) and off we went to Bukit Rambai, Melaka, the journey took less than 2 hours, reached there on time with zaini, epul, jin, kerul, aidi and toyan. a well organized event as they managed to end the event on time regardless with lots of participant and hey, they have their own Christmas tree (a bit ala ala je..without the timing).. this will be my 1st experience with their system and yet, I'm not a fast learner in order to cope with the sophisticated Christmas tree (got few vids and seem I'm slower in getting the car going man..duh! buta2 kene tapau) fyi the drag strip is not on a flat road, whereby the marshal need to hold the (especially the left lane) car from going backward during staging!.

i participated in 3 categories, 1.5 Proton (1st place), 1.5 Open (2nd place kene tapau with 2nd gen honda) and 1.6/1.8 Open (4th place, clutch overheated and unable to engage the gear during 3rd vs 4th placing).. the engine seem to handle well in 3 categories non-stop without any issues except the clutch..(hey maybe a twin plate could solve it? banyak la sgt duit! lol)

apart from that, the same old shyte kampung style.."bang..repeat bang.."...aaaa.. i could say..in all the categories..i couldn't count how many times did i need to repeat a match due to "bro..brader sebelah ni 1st time main..dia tak bersedia tadi" said the marshal...and i did replied "bro, kalau ade 10 biji kete perangai mcm ni..bape puluh kali saya nak repeat bro?"..and the marshal could only smile and begging for a rematch. this is one of Malaysian most favorite behavior at a drag strip. Talking about being professional? Especially outside from Sepang drag strip( i wonder why?) Luck was on my side and my saga squirt able to sustain through out the day regardless numerous of rematch. Penat wei! gile ape asyik repeat je...demmit..

just got the time to update my blog..arghhhh..
the event was held on 5th February 2011 in Litar Dato' Sagor, Kg. Gajah Perak, well organized by forumsagautara.com. tabik spring with their effort in getting the event smooth through out the day! considering the $$ spent for the tow truck from Shah Alam, i've participated in 3 categories, 1.5L, 1.6L+1.8L and Turbo open( just for the sake of fun). managed to get podium place, altho the clutch was almost dead..(of course ler..was on tight budget and i refused to change the clutch set) bummer!

credits goes to Pitwork Puchong (toyan, epoi, gendut, wan), in getting the car ready, and to all my friends who also attended the event, epul vtec, epul putra, jinkl, zaini mirage power, rellik ,Cha pisang,shahrul, shahril, apek SIC forum colleagues, FSU.

The Last Round of 2010

hellooooo..its almost February n i jz gained my mood back to update part of round 12..aka..the final round.. unexpected things happened where i did not qualify at all in 1.6NA category, leaving me with numerous of question, am i running stock carburetor? hell no..except i've successfully running on MVV 12v stock head and stock MVV intake manifold without any porting job being done at all since early round! lol..

kinda frustrated with 1.6NA result, i did entered 1.8NA category, just to double check on the timing and yet its different. i wont go deep into it as i'm bored with all the hanky panky stuff going on. what goes around will come around. i may be jz a small/non-profit/not popular boy, but with all the things that i've done, is from my hard cold earned money. from the beginning and till now, talk is cheap..and i can't really tolerate with it. winning or not, its not the real deal man. its about passion, not "gila glemer"..hohoho..

for next plan of 2011, i'm in the midst selecting vital combination, i've prove out that stock MVV cylinder head without any porting job is doing great in the drag event, so there r lots of r&d work in next project. Another thing, my ears is tired of listening to this lame phrase "gila bai..barang dia bikin kat Australia..".."perghh..camshaft dia baru siap dari Thailand.."..or..the worst ever "dia order block dari Afrika Selatan"..come on..u dun hv to push the country name..dulu lain..sekarang lain..whats the big deal anyway?

MUSC Cyberjaya - Round 11 - 13th Nov

a quick update on the last event, sorted out the problem with handling, able to get better timing now, alho few hiccups during shifting up the gear (sangkut la 2nd gear), its already being rectified for this upcoming event on 25th Dec 2010 (perghh.. Christmas tu bai game)..

oh yah, during the run, a slightly blue smoke appeared, hmm.. after being hard driven for more than 4 years .. i supposed new setup will be commenced for 2011.. till then hoping it will survive for this final round on Christmas before major overhaul on this little 4G15 12v motor ... (finger cross!)

MUSC Cyberjaya - Round 9 - 25th September 2010

after few months leaving the drag scene,saga squirt 4g15 once again received the Champion title for NA/campro 1.6 category. event start off at 8pm (heavy rain during day time) with 11 cars participated. usual scene of gen2, satria, saga blm and "rentong" wira..anyone saw it? i guess nobody saw it :P (nah,its drag, people will do anything right? unless u compete in full-of-law event.)

with the timing result in my hand, i must say, i'm not satisfied at all, or should i say, i'm frustrated with all the effort and getting such a little different. the car facing problem during acceleration whereby the wheel keeps going to the left and i had been struggled to get the car straight. its a problem where i'm unable to rectify it due to insufficient time.

kinda bored with all the advertisement about enhancing ur 4g15 engine..
i mean, most r aiming for street use..adoi.. hardly seen advertisement which is aggressive towards a mean way..forget about the air cond..forget about the fuel consumption (duh!)..n yet..forget about bringing ur girlfriend for a makan angin ride..

it may not peoples cup of tea..but..there r certain of group which only into speed..but hardly meet up with this kind of peoples (rather than 4g93, yeah! lotsa of them r mentally hardcore in modding it).. 4g15? nah.. not dat hardcore tho.. (possibility of no future with > 20 years old engine, lolx)

i'm in the middle of getting few performance parts directly from Australia (ala,dun wori, not Jasma thingy, but wei, its proven too :P) and hoping to sell it overhere, mainly for 4g15 of course..the price will not be cheap, as i'm aiming for those who are really serious bout it. talk is cheap..the next day cerita lain.. why Australia? simple..people tends to fall for it, a good marketing tools to boost up profit. try cakap made in China..i dare u! :P

as most people r modding the same old way from time to time... i'm not 1 of them..

Running In - Tiny 12v Is Back Again..

pheww..! after few months since the last round 4 in musc cyberjaya, 25th april, where I've managed to get 1st place in 1.6 open category(gigil bai..of course with lots of luck)..and i decided to rehat kejap la..with lack of funding, i need time to get sum dough ($), after all, most of the opponents are well funded, and myself, even tho i have lotsa plan in my mind..but.. again.. $$ plays a major role here. gaji kecik je..ade FAMA lain cite la..

so? what hv i done in this few months time? ade la :P (boring la ade orang usha line, get a life man)
its painful when u want ur car to be faster, unless u hv a big sponsor la..petik jari boleh beli.. people will likely talking cock where they don't even noe how much i need to spend in order to compete with those big boys..i put months to obtain what i need most.

i've gathered few things and waiting for the final parts to come in, mean while, i'm still doing a running in mode, hopefully everything is ok, will get it on to the roller, and harap2 later after Raya, boleh rempit! lol...

Jasma Performance Camshaft 4G13 & 4G15 anyone? cheaper? Bagus ke?

there u go..freshly out from Jasma (yah i know sum r being too "doubt" bout de brand), performance camshaft for 4g13/4g15 sohc 12v(er..they stated as racing cam..maybe i won't tell people dat u should be racing if u use this bump stick lol)

the specification:

Intake 270deg lift 9.35mm
Exhaust 275deg lift 9.20mm

apart from the selling price is only at RM450..
i'm a bit skeptical how will it perform..
sum said..only the best..with the BEST PRICE TAG will stand out..hmm.. dreaming? where is the fun for those who looking for cheaper alternative? kesian mereka..forcing them to pay MORE..

i won't compare with other aftermarket brand camshaft for 4g13/4g15..as they hv their own league/market segment which being supported by customer who are willing to spend MORE THAN > RM1000.. talking bout budget eh? :P

how does it perform on dyno?
i've put a test before and after by using this super budget Jasma Performance camshaft.
a stock 4g13 carb was the ideal candidate with super stock 100% OEM engine.no aftermarket shining extractor..no aftermarket air filter...and the best thing..there is no adjustable camshaft pulley being installed for this attempt. this is to ensure how will it perform with stock pulley (of course for budget reason, a piece of campulley will cost u RM200 <) bare in mind, i'm talking bout being under budget.

stock 4g13 carb produced 62.0whp, and after being fitted with Jasma Camshaft, the result was 70.2whp..astonishing 8.2whp increment with STOCK campulley and stock extractor..chk out the graph below..look at the tork figure.. (idling is a bit lumpy below 1000rpm..and no problem when switching on the air cond..necessary adjustment is required to get better idling..kata hi-cam kan?) feedback from the owner, said the response was way better from previously and pulling it to high rpm was very smooth..

so, how will it perform with an aftermarket extractor? maybe better air filter..? or a good chunky of Weber (dcnf) Carb? how bout with adjustable campulley and perform a cam dialing? will it produce more whp? how bout 4g15? how bout those running with 1.6L stroker kit? i bet this Jasma camshaft could gain more whp with proper engine setup..murah beb..

Judge it by yourselt...for RM450 per piece...

this would be my 1st time participating in a drag event with my junk. its a 300m strip , with the weather is totally hot, and lots of competitors, surely its going be interesting. :D, along on that day, few of my friends, abang Zam(4g92 sohc), Rellik(4g92 dohc) and his mech(4g91 sohc), Poi from Pitworks Puchong (4g15 carb) were also participated in the same category.

with lack of experience in doing the "launching", and also a luck, i managed to climb for a 3rd place in this category. a good starting for a 1st time kot?

i bought a mini dv via www.mudah.com.my which cost me RM190, altho few days later, there are several seller selling at only RM150..equiped with 2GB memory, i must say it won't record much due to it's std AVI format set by the manufacturer. bought a Kingston 8gb hi speed memory card (claimed can support up to 16gb memory card)...and the result is better :D..although it doesn't have a suction cup as go pro kit, it does comes with all the mounting kit..(no pic)..just watch the review in Youtube (link given above) .

it's cheap..and if the quality is not that great..come on man.. RM150-RM190..and u still want t o argue with it?

hi, a quick update :D, had de Junk's strapped on de dyno machine.
reason? to see the different between the old setup with the new current coil on plug (sequential) setup. altho i had good impression during on the road driving, curiosity makes me really want to see the result on a dyno machine. as expected, the tork figure is now better from what i had previously. as for graph, due to certain reason, i'm unable to post it up (biase la, nanti ade mamat usha, tak best la, the time will come, after all, it's just a 4G13, won't shout anything impressive at all or scared u out)

as for now, there is no news bout my CDI unit which is directly from AEM, and i'm a bit frustrated for the long waiting. till then, let's hope it will arrive here. :(

Coil On Plug - Done!~

the moment of waiting has end :D, and now my junk's is running fully sequential ignition with coil on plug (taken from waja 1.8 renault - Nippon Denso). totally forgot to snap photos during installation which requires a lot of work from the engine bay till to the tuning part. previously, i'm running a wasted spark mode, with a coil pack taken from a 4G93. i must say, the engine behaved differently whereby its a lot smoother, and revving it up is wayyyyy nice. :D

supposedly i'm going to get it dyno, but my AEM cdi is still no where to be seen yet (email has been sent to them, they claimed that they r rectifying few issues b4 they can ship it out to me..duh..all this while a lot of complaints of their unit malfunction (burn) after few months running it and only now the action being taken? i mean..this year 2009?)

i made a quick search over the net and found myself a pair of used rim. looks like a steel oem rim (jz like those wira/kenari etc lol)its actually a aluminium type with unknown brand. sum said its a bridgestone..huh? not sure tho, do inform me any info bout it k?. its a 14 inch with offset of 38 & 6jj and yet, its light-weight. altho lack of that "bling-ness" which could impress peoples surrounding, that is not the point. being low profile with a light weight rim, it surely gonna hv its own advantage. :D few recommended that i should be upgrading to 15 inch roller, a top notch brand cost thousand, and with the abundant of replica rims in the market which r almost identical to the real 1, ( come on, i saw Viva with ***** RG gold color rim) i dun feel any special of buying the original rim (for now la).

Coil On Plug - Lets Do It !

After doing sum homework (ya la, reading those articles chaa), I'm eagerly to try out the sequential firing along with coil on plug setup. As my AEM Twin Fire CDI should be arriving after Hari Raya, the installation could be performed and testing it out to see the outcome b4 throwing in de AEM CDI... hoping a big improvement @ high rpm.

I've appointed Amad, (located in Bukit Lanchong) to custom the COP mounting. It took 2 weeks (haiyo..banyak kerja - a lil' bit delay) to be done and below is how it looks like. Made out from an aluminum, I've polished it for a great finishing. chewaaahhh :P

Moving on to the engine bay, this is how it will look like once its fitted into the cylinder head. As for the rocker cover, it will be replaced with a new color...dun wori, no more red..lolx, later, the extractor will be wrapped with thermal cloth , and even the cop will be wrapped with aluminum cloth too. :D its to ensure that the cop is being protected from the heat. Cair plak kang..ish3x.

after doing sum reading, meet few peoples, having discussion bout their experience, sum r lucky, and sum (maybe add a quater part lagi kot?) r not that lucky with the china bosch coil. while i'm doing sum calculation and thinking, no warranty, price r like..ermm..not that cheap..and what happen if its misfire? ahh...ur mechanic salah, u didn't wired it up proper, u r not well educated enuff..off u go with broken heart and, $$..goodbye la..

few emails to bosch stated that bosch coil r mostly made in china now. even tho they do provide info of primary and secondary resistance, but they unable to provide me the turns ratio ,max voltage and its inductance of bosch coil. they said it can't be reveal coz only for technical engineer reference..wohooo..while others coil manufacturer do stated all the info. way to go :P (don't worry, i do save the email just in case)

after going through alot of discussion, dwell time plays a major role in standalone whenever u r fitting a type of coil. each coil manufacturer has different setup and knowing it is vital when putting input in the standalone. could this be the causes of misfire? hehehehe.. so i'm not going with the bosch coil, since i need to order it if i ever need a replacement (australian made), such a hassle man. and EXPENSIVE too..duh!

as for now, i got myself a Coil On Plug (c.o.p.), Nippon Denso, which delivered up to 40000v. wasted spark setup will be removed and i'll be running a full sequential firing (4 channel) with Megasquirt-2 (running full sequential injector firing). while, i've seen those who r running Haltech, still doing a wasted spark mode, oh man! i know, Haltech 4 channel ignition module cost AUD250..opss..! try adding it up with individual coil? way of pricey. thats why, most r running wasted spark. ya la, customer does not know about it, as long its a standalone, they'll satisfied.. kesian..

ok next, CDI, capacitive discharge ignition, i've been reading on it for while and it seems few brand have a problem of their own. is not cheap. DEFINITELY not cheap wei :P. M&W pro14 4 channel CDI cost almost USD1000. MSD? no need to mention it. haha, as in my current plan, i'll be getting AEM Twin Fire CDI unit if my COP setup going smooth. its the cheapest available, but bare in mind, its 1 of the not-problem-free unit too. hmmm..Dynatek is 1 of the top list for 4g63, with its plug n play type, most people do like their unit. but only capable of 2 channel (wasted spark).

those who r in 4g63 arena, DSM, EVO, sure know bout Proccolinos Pizza EVO which gained 1006whp. they had just installed a sequential setup (4 channel) M&W Pro-14. last time they did run on wasted spark, n by changing the ignition setup, the gained is huge. Even Buschur evo do run on sequential.

ok, as now, i'm running on wasted spark mode, biase la, people said not cun la, cannot go faster, ur spark is weak, u should running sequential la.. if u rev 9000rpm sure will misfire la..which is..not cheap...talk is cheap..hahaha..lolx..any standalone could run this thing, and its not that special that u can't run 1 of these. wayang mau kuat bro..

there r lots of brand outside there dat r offering hi-performance coil (Crane cam, MSD, ProCOMP) to suit our needs. but then, why Bosch? hehehehehehehe.. to those who dah biasa, they know. HEC 715/HEC716 (only the socket is different - 50k-60k volt - claimed)

the Dwell time? i've sourced out the official data which can be used with Megasquirt. but, to source out this thing? is not easy, try seach via Ebay, NO!, local australia website.. NO! sorry, sum do selling it, but THE PAYMENT? its damn hard and tedious..why can't they use PAYPAL????? dope!..seems its hard to buy unless...?

currently there r Made In China HEC715/HEC716 coil does available, which is totally different design, but..ermm..i'll email to bosch Australia to confirm on this matter. aluminium radiator for Saga - done!

after the long waiting..
my very own custom aluminum radiator for de my Junk's is done.
although the measurement is same as for honda eg/ek, but the inlet n outlet, plus sensor bung is according to my saga size requirement.

installation probably not dat straight forward, few last adjustment is required to get it proper mount. hmm..

the reason i'm having this "not fully saga spec size" is, the boss,the taukey la..didnt want to go all the hassle welding the proper mount for saga, reason? complicated and no sales for saga..arghh!..i've mentioned dat i'm willingly to pay for the extra cost, but still he refused. i oso tried to convince him dat i will find others potential buyer that might be interested, thus lower the price indirectly but failed. he said previously got a guy saying the same thing. but the never show up till this day.

so, i 'm kinda frustrated a bit..i do hv a story behind all this nonsense,selected material being used la, selling it at RM1XXX..boring..but let me keep it to my self.

the thing is, de big aluminium radiator for Putra/Wira/Satria/EVO, cost RM480-RM500++, the current market price now. and this bugger selling a SMALL,HALF size..Saga/Iswara...for RM1X00...congrats!~ keep up the good work..better sell it RM2000 lor..baru masyuk bro..

after involved in a bad crash...car is back on the road..but the feel is not same as previously..

as being informed, the owner, once again, requested to get his 4g93P motor back to live again.
i threw out few suggestions, such as..JUN cam for 4g93NA, or maybe Matspeed cam..standalone..
and the list went on and on and on..hahahaha..but 1 thing i forgot dat...he dun like it.. a car without jerking, a low idle, no prob with air cond..smooth..is what he wants. JUN or others performance cam will yield out higher horsepower, but then, daily use?..suffer la. alwiz tink bout others people perception and not by our own selfish recomendation.

so, i've decided to spiced it up with Mivec head, few others parts,
hmmm..still thinking wether to get a head job..hmm..or should i stay stock? hehehe..
i wonder if this Mivec thingy, together with proper tuning, will gained near to 160whp with stock internal?

yah i noe, i've seen a 200whp 4g93 non mivec, a nearly 200whp mivec..but try to calculate the $$ being spent...for sure all lari la..hahaha..sure 1 will talk cock "better play evo la.." "better buy house la"..dis n dat..guys..pls..this is what we called as own satisfaction..if u dun like it..WALK AWAY..go play with ur own balls..

all this while..i oni heard bout Super Saga stories..dis n dat...it's rear suspension(not same as our std saga) ,the chasis it self, lightweight..estimate nearly 800kg?? hmm..the aerodynamic (current design during dat era)..its injection system (kinda expensive those day wei)..4 throttle (ITB) and many more..

the problem is, i never seen it b4...even a single pic of it.. :( ..

bad news, no sign of my custom aluminum radiator yet.!~ sshhhhh..
while waiting de "ohh-ahh" thingy to be done..probably by next month..i've bought Mines silicone radiator hose for de junk..kinda surprise me coz..u noe..every thing for saga..need to be custom..and its not a straight forward thing..hmm..kesian...so when the 1st time i saw the hose..i wuz like..ah great...my engine going to ricer..too much color ...hmm..btw, it's a 3-PYL type, even tho Samco would be great..i'm dun hv the hard cold cash to spend (RM450++) aiming for the brand..miskin la.. :P ....

supposedly it will be installed together wit the radiator, but since it's going to be longgggg ggwaiting, i might jz get it hook up to the current old no bling bling radiator..fits nicely..no prob..now..i got to do sumthing wit that red rocker cover..arghh..blue red yellow..oh man... :(...pearl white would great rite?

i managed to get this rare used Genie extractor for 4g13/4g15, the design kinda like Cusco extractor meant for 4g92 Mivec. it's a 4 -2 -1 design and has a separate downpipe too. not like a 1 piece design of Hot Bits. i've sent it for sandblasting..and with a help of my friend..he is doing the coating thingy..hehe..i'm not sure if it will improve the current performance, i'll get it onto the roller jz to see if there is any gain.

after doing sum reading, it seems there is a MVV (mitsubishi vertical vortex) type of 4G15 engine..which having a totally different head,piston,intake manifold design. fitted in 1992 Mitsubishi Libero, the real purpose is de lean burning type of engine....i've seen this engine in most chop shop, but then, at dat time, i didn't care at all..until i finish reading all the article bout it, i noe i'm missing sumthing great here!..so the hunt begins...where i discover the different between a normal 4g15 and a mvv 4g15..huge different..demmit! intake port is way bigger and separated into 2. fuel injector now sit at a different angle and it has a shorter and bigger runner intake manifold..

now i hv new things to play with..hehehehehehehe..i managed to bought the intake separately, same goes with the fuel rail..arghh..is way different..only left now is the head which i'm still waiting for the right moment to buy it...i hv de MvV info and u guys may want 2 read it.. :D

17/2/2009, de junk wuz on the dyno, for 1 hour dyno tuning session, done at Millennium Motorsports. i must say dat the result has satisfied me. there r still room for improvement which i'll reveal in the next post.hehehe..as for now, i'll keep the dyno figure since its not dat high as 4g93 engine kan..small engine kan..wut do u expect?..as for tuning plus doing cam dialing, its being done by my dad. hope the engine stay wit me ..hahahaha.. i mean, dun all of a sudden kaboom..adoi..k..dats all..

as for current setup, i believe i nid to get a based whp b4 i proceed wit the plan dats in my mind.
with the current new Megasquirt firmware being updated, new on the road tuning (thanks to Toyan Trans), i'm loving it and yet..to get de ideal whp, i nid to get onto the roller, ..wut roller?..Dyno Dynamic of course..why? coz Dynojet will produce high whp compare to Dyno Dynamic..wahahahhahaha..try google it 1st..u'll get the idea wuts i'm cocking about.. :P so, better get a low result rather getting a high whp reading which in the end kena tapau by a less whp car..

i hope the current engine will produce the whp at my estimated figure.wut is the figure? let say..like a campro figure? hahaha..i like those campro on the road..loving it everyday :P..dun shoot me..sum time i stumble d on a lansi/kerek/sombong driver.. the saga might be a junk..but not the engine..the history of building of it is not jz bout the component, but also a friendship thats being build on the same time.

mistakes..problems..
probably its a common things to happen, rite? but how if..a given cost by the owner, let say..RM20k..and u get a piece of junk work with junk idea, and yet..using junk parts.. the key here, is HONESTY and how does a builder brain works. RM20k (example), u could expect big buffy horsepower gained, or..sum lousy good for nothing.trust me, i noe it does happened. u spend rm40k, u get worst ever performance, and surely kena titik/slash by other car which being modded less than rm5k..who to blame?..mech? lousy tuner?(duh!)..wrong workshop to carry out the task??.. which end up being conned..pop up the hood, its like a RM200 al-chepo mod...why?why?and why?..enuff mumbling :P

here, at last, a Toyota LE, with a 4AGZE stock motor (lets not talk bout the past), able to get its wheel onto the roller. arghh!!!!!!!..after encounter with major+minor problems,timing belt was about to snap!!, handling prob, bla bla bla etc. boosted @ 0.6bar, running on Megasquirt-1 v3 ems, i could now able to feel that i'm driving a car!...a 1 hour dyno tuning session has been done where the car is more responsive ever from previous setup. eventho its a stock motor, at least, it can put a smile to the owner face.

since de engine was once overheated, i need to source out a new cyc head, get a different pNp, upgrade the current ignition setup, new suspension setup and much more to list.
i'll be back for more stuff wit dis 4g13 little tiny motor..dohc stay away.! i noe ur guys r much faster then me :P go n play wit ur own people :P hihi..

dyno session will be rolled out too, a camshaft selection still juggling in my mind, since de current stage 1 matspeed, is like driving a normal car..u noe..stock exhaust sound..hehe..

car had been towed to the nearest workshop..where i assumed..CONFIRM..few of the stuff will be stolen/cilok/roket/curi. im not trying to tuduh, but dis is the real fact. kinda hard to find an honest shop out there, ape tah lagi when u doing insurance thingy stuff. so things dat going to be target r de samco hose (ala..bos..ini sula talak bole repair maa..tuka lain..)..aluminium radiator which i saw from the mms sent is totally faktap..(mostly sure hilang during collecting the car)...OR during de car was being towed away..biase la kan..for sure got tangan panjang..demmit.!

after waiting for de stock for 2 weeks, (tak puas ati lagi ni :P), de LC-1 + blue db gauge has arrived at my door step via UPS. called up my fwen and informed dat his lansi 1..ops, sori, his LC-1 is ready to be installed into his car. the bung is welded properly to de extractor and being wired up to his Megasquirt-1 v3.

people tot dis is just only a tuning tools, yes it is, but when u integrate it with Megasquirt, its a different story. do sum reading regarding this thing k. keyword is closed loop thingy. get the idea?..
his fuel consumption should be better i must say.

being a person who drive a 1989 saga as a daily commuter sumtime makes me felt that i'm being left behind..with old skool type of suspension, old chassis which waiting its time to pecah 2 :P hehe, sum called as kotak tisu chassis, tin milo, and others term too. i jz need to admit, there is still limitation for wut i've done. few fwens kept asking why saga?..why not er..satria?..putra?..y u nid to put all the hassle modding, customizing parts to fit it in while u can jz plug n play like satria n putra..or..maybe a honda EG,EK?..hmm..y?.. there is a reason... once mod is completely done, i'll move on to get another chasis.. last time, only those who r "selected" could afford an aluminum radiator. price is thousand of RM. u guys should know how much a Koyo n Fluidyne market price huh?..but dun worry, thanks to our local people who managed to get it cheaper, but of course, its a non brand type. yah yah yah..i noe brand come 1st..but if u could fork out RM2300 for a Koyo rad..its ok, but if u cakap besar but unable to buy it, forget it, shut the hell up. people tends to tell story this brand good la..that good la..hello brader..go and buy it 1st, no point bragging it if u can't afford it. i always advise people to play within ur budget, what is the show off matter la?..come on..i've always hear this kind of story and im boring. duh?!!

ok continue, so i went to dis shop wit my fwen, jz a normal/ordinary radiator shop, but..they r selling aluminium radiator. at that time, de fella wuz finishing up a custom Proton Saga aluminium radiator that being ordered by a customer. quoted me around RM900 per unit, where a honda EG/EK aluminium radiator cost only around RM400. pls, i do noe the market price, hahahaha.. i'm kinda confused wether to put a honda eg/ek type radiator into my Saga which needs a lot of custom fabrication jz to mount it.

hmm.. anyway, i havent order it yet, but will get it in few months time. its a lightweight radiator, thickness is 2 inch, and able to dissipate heat most effectively. arghh!!!

Drax Tuned Chip - Putra 4G93P

This time, a Proton Putra with a 4G93P stock motor (ala..ye la..few bolt on je tu), owned by a friend of mine. Supposedly it had running a Drax re-chip ecu by using a 2468 ecu from a Proton GTi model but due to a glitch, thus forcing him to revert back to a stock putra ecu (sedih nye :P).

After doing sum tweaking to de engine, together with real time tuning (where people r still confused..wut r those?) monitored by a Innovate Motorsports LM-2 wideband making tuning more accurate n appropriate. Although no dyno tuning being performed, getting the right air/fuel, making sure there is no knocking, it will still performed but, putting it on a dyno roller could yield sum maybe 2-3 ekor kuda liar..haha.. making high whp on roller doesn’t mean u’ll be the ultimate king on de road.

Remember, there r sum of underground petrol head could out run u even with no dyno sheet as a proof. Hmm... maybe?...afterall, sum dun hv a budget for a dyno tuning..ingat murah ke beb? Talk is cheap..try throw few hundreds ringgit for jz a 1 hour session.. sure korang berkira punye :P ..but still, do proceed it if u hv an extra budget J it wont hurt..maybe jz a blown motor on de roller kot? Hahaha..lol..

k, continue from the previous post, installation is done after waiting for 4 days!..that bcoz..de high engineering skill required by the machine shop..ampeh btol.. last time when i sent de other saga for twin pot conversion..it took around 2 hours to get it done..talking bout eningeering huh?..doesnt mean u hv the equipment, u can get the job done if u do not know what r u doing..it almost ruin my knuckle..haih..luckly the problem wuz being tackled by the workshop..

1st impression..damn..de alignment it off..and so does the camber..hahaha..fixed it..and yessssss..totally crap when the brake is cold..lolx...but the grip is building up when the temp is up..hurmmm..need to get use to it..

maybe sum r confused..is dis blog focus on a saga or a putra? nah..previous posting wuz regarding a simple project to enhance a 4g93 without kena tipu la :P..the end..

as de above pictures, de Snow Performance Stage 2 water/methanol injection is now ready to be installed in my saga...i repeat..saga la..since de pump n de reservoir will be mounted in de rear trunk..i nid to get de extra solenoid upgrade(cost around rm400,ebay..duh!!!!!) to prevent de gravity flowing issues. dats y most shop will jz install it in the engine bay..which is to me..hmm..tak cun la..messy..i dun like it dat way..wit dis water/meth injec thingy, it will decrease the intake temp, prevent detonation/knocking which means? i could increase the ignition timing..hahaha lolx...opss..

till then..it will be installed after raya...get it run..and ...i'll be throwing it on the dyno roller to see de result. i would like to wish Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir & Batin.

ok,jz b4 going for a dyno session,fews things had been done, cold air intake hose installed..i would say its worth it..nice rev response from low to hi rpm..cam dialing is being done again jz to ensure proper opening n closing of de valve with set of equipment..not jz by "rasa rasa"..oh well..

so arrived at de Millenium around 1.30pm..1st run without de emanage..and de next run with emanage..jz to inform again that..dis 4g93p doesnt hv high-cam wutever stage (stock cam), no porting involve (stock head), no high compression piston (stock 93p low comp piston), stock putra muffler (piping size 2")..last run on 1st september, de engine produced 106.4whp..and now..15th september, result shows 134.9whp..interesting aite?..

it shows dat, u nid 2 noe ur stuff, spend within ur budget, and u'll be happy wit de result. no point throwing lots of money jz to ensure u hv funky engine list of expensive n high brand parts? betul?..porting bagai nak gila la, dis n dat la..keep it simple je..no need to show off..in the end..if this Putra 93P kalah pon..tak malu.. most the internal parts r stock..even the flywheel r stock.. ...amcam?..hehehe..read from the beginning of this 93P journey..

done de piping installation over here which is..cheaper..hey doesn't mean u pay peanut & get a peanut..sum pay higher price for the same stuff (in dis case..a normal 2" pipe "putih") but get a so so(bad) workmanship... situated in Klang, Ah Seng, offered a great price..tak percaye?..try la..ignore the scene..look at de stuff 1st..lolx...a better look shop doesn't mean cheap...

next, after piping thingy is done, de car quickly being sent to get a clutch change. 3 pucks is in now together with de evo mounting and major service hv been done. i must say..it took less than a month to get dis car back crawling on de road with the mod listed..while a workshop took around almost 1 month to get it done..hmm..maybe bz doing other customer cars or...malas..delay n delay..kan?betul?..mmg pon...duh...parked de car for 2 weeks..collecting dust..later baru buat..hahaha..dun deny it ok..

moving on to the next part, cylinder head is being dismantle, block wall shows there is no visible scratch or watsoever. a lil bit clean up and a new cylinder is ready to be drop in. in dis stage, no hi-comp piston is being used (most people r using 4g92 sohc piston). why?..hehehe..ade la, 60mm throttle body is polished, and the gsr intake manifold oso being match-port....others,hmm.. a 0.8mm metal gasket will be used tho..

after few days looking for de 4g93p camshaft..at last...i've found it..previously, lots of seller offering at a ridicoulous price.. hmm..probably due de camshaft is hard to find..a 4g91,92 or 93 turbo hv a different lift..thus..i need to use back de stock 93 cam. remember, i'm not going to use any high-cam in dis project...jz to see how many kuda kepang will be thrown out down to the dyno roller.

at last, de car wuz done..yesterday..perfectly running smoothly now..the response now is totally different..should i say...best gilew!..lolx...haha..everything is ok..jz i need to get dat exhaust piping done..which in few minutes from now..i'm off heading to Klang..wuhuu..c ya..

sumthing bad happened..its appeared that de oem stock 93P head is no longer be usable plus with the camshaft (due to oil starvation). changing de oem camshaft is easy...BUT..finding it..oh man..its like u own a vintage car ke?..it took me few days..scouting for the stock 93 cam..and the great part.. oso kene cari de 93 gsr thermostat housing which currently having different size compare to a 93P ...arghhh..oni now i noe its difficult to find 93/gsr parts nowdays..price?..

header?wut is a header?..probably not many understand it unless u called it "extractor"....ooooooo...lolx...as seen in the pic..try to guess wut type of header is being fitted to this sleeper 92 mivec motor?...it has a 2.5" collector, made out from 304 stainless steel with long type of tri-y type design and fully imported from the States..aha?!..

feedback given by the owner, the mid-range has improved alot compare to his previous custom made extractor which i reckon is a R3 style? (kan kan kan? :P)..i'm impressed with the build quality. even tho few adjustment/mod is required to ensure its fit well with de 92 mivec motor.

today is the D day...i mean dyno day..yay!..(dyno is being done at Millennium Motorsport, Sunway)
de stock 4g93 motor (wei..seriyesly la..std 100%..virgin lagi maa)...after being dynoed, pump out 106.4whp@6500rpm of kuda liar..hurmm...from de info i've gathered, a stock 4g93..STOCK ok..producing less than 120whp...hurmm.. no wonder a 4g15 wit stroker kit could give a hard time for 4g93 owner..hahaha...opssss....i mean..a stock 4g93 .. :P

compression test was done immediately resulting cyc. no 2 n 4..is lower..means..kuda lemah dalam ni..hmm..will send de car for dyno to get the base reading later (hope so)..

moving on to de next stuff...bought more stuff yesterday..and on the same day1 of my fwen wanted to dyno(joshua) his car but cancel it due to lots of customer wuz there..hmm..so i continue to do more shopping in sunway..haahahah..cut the crap..orait..got a 3 pucks exedy semi racing..i wanted de 4 pucks..but the price..hmmm..nvm..

n also, went to klang and bought a Cusco (replica) extractor., an original Cusco will cost at a ridiculous price altho its a used (2nd hand) item..i do hv the original pics..hehe..i noticed sum fella/shop r selling it at a bomb price..which is for me..good for their business..but on the other side..burden de customer wallet laaa...i got it a "lil bit" cheaper..but for sure MUCH2 more cheaper if the taukey beli la from the main source..lol..business maa..anyway..by putting this kind of extractor..it could yield out more sleeping kuda inside :P compare to sum convetional design.

i've cleaned out the 60mm throttle body..all the debris is no more in the way for a good flow tho (need more polishing).. :D, n yet..the rocker cover is now being painted with nice metallic blue to give the aaahhhh...uuuuuhhhh impression.. but wait,its not by using RM8 aerosol typo ok, i'm a bit confused why people using cheap paint which does not withstand hi-heat from the engine and also, the paint will fade n. crack..???..why people? why??.. malas pikir lu org punya enjin laaa..hahaha...i'm still waiting 4 de owner to come pass over de car..hmm

n my cousin decided to let his slow moving < 115whp 93p get a nice massage, since its a tight budget project, few parts dat being bought 2nd hand (used) but it will do, for time being..hehehe..things to take into consideration, no high-cam will be used since the price is hmm..i noe stage 1 (wutever they called)..Wont effect ur idle,aircond..but, but..its "thousand of RM" wei..i would rather buy a half/race spec with the same amount of money..and more gains..since its going to be a daily use (he do travel alot!! not 400m la, i mean 500km per trip), fuel consumption is also important. i keep asking my self, y didn’t i jz drop in a matspeed 288 bumpstick and hit it on the road???...comfort plays a major role here...and i can't do dat..unless he decided to let his 93p be a weekend toy.

a box arrived..a plain white color box with parts number Mitsubishi DSM Injector Set (Low-Z) IS125-0850 being printed..hmm..jz like the Aeromotive fuel regulator i've ordered previously (chk previous posting)..so..wut is the purpose of this little thingy wit 850 number being craved on it?..wuz meant for my fren, which a lil bit thirsty now..hahahaha..his 510cc injector are running out and unable to deliver the fuel which is being required by the engine (wei...50trim cepat sket la wei ...ak ak ak..) apart from dat, i've seen few running big snail but still maintain the 510cc injector..their alasan "cukup bang..tadi saye test rembat..ngam cun gile VaVi semua" end up the engine went kaboom..and spread the news how great he is having a blown engine (motor) ..coz "KUAT"..having butt feeling without proper monitoring can lead to this problem,

jz certain people unable to cope with new technology and still doing the "pokok pisang" style..come on la...stock injector...big turbo..high boost..try to think deeper..k..ahh..the best part..it wuz the tuner fault coz doing a bad tuning...sumthing to ponder aite?...lack of required hardware(in dis case..nk boost 1.5bar..buat lack of fund to get bigger injector)..low budget..but u try to gain sumthing bigger than ur budget?..haih..

a quick checked up being done recently, result, steering rack is in bad condition (leaking), both left n right drive shaft is bout to give way...(hope it wont pop out!! lol), the rear arm/trailing arm which i've change to a recond set oso having a prob..left side is way soft..causing a bad handling tho..even worst with passenger..!! i'm still unable to source out any OEM rear arm...do..pls..avoid buying a recond set..such a waste..

next, i've sent my front GSR disc to de workshop, in order for them to swap the knckle and retaining back my old saga's knuckle...even if u get a perfect alignment( claimed to be..duh??!!) by using vr4/evo knuckle for ur saga..the feel is weird..haahahha..dun ask more, jz retain the saga knuckle for ur own good...

lastly, still thiking bout snow performance stage 2 water/methanol injection NA code 20020, market price in malaysia is RM2k++..gile wei..crappy..dun wori, i've my ebay to solve it after Raya kot..lol..rofl.. :P...tata...

ok,the freaking "rare" rear disc being installed on last friday..

supposely the installation should be straight forward rite?..wrong..!!!..demmit..

wheel bearing wuz in bad condition, the handbrake cable faktap, caliper is jammed, worn out badly, brake pad pin is no where to be found, no brake hose, disc cover missing...this is wut u'll get when buying a used item..go just pejam my mata, asked Che Mat (tokey bengkel la) to get it fully serviced..overall, the price of the installation IS WAY EXPENSIVE dr beli disc ni..haih..and i bought ProRS steel braided hose since pikir2 dah nak membazir, better bazir 1 shot :P, so unlucky of me...forked out more money for a silly thing..

but

the great news, everything went fine, the feel is totally different bile pakai drum type brake..way way way different, a recommended upgrade for those out there kan..heehhehe...

happened on last friday nite when i wuz on my way back from work. a lil bit stress due to bloody idiot system which is down since morning..!! wut worst can it be?..my Triniti clutch gone..! oh man..jz few months of using it, and it failed...which is too early.. :( i've heard few complaints regarding it, but i still trying to think +vely, *yah i noe, they will blame bout wrong installation la, ur mech not qualify enuf la, u didnt install with us la, u didnt do a running in session la..wut ever..the center of the clutch, (the shaft insert area) wuz totally damaged (refer to below pic)..kinda frustrated at that moment...btw, got myself a 6 pucks clutch set and my car is back on the road..looking for a car which indeed has.............*tuttttt...lol...

I bought a used SPG for the driver side. in the same time, i wuz looking the ideal seat for the passenger too, since most of my friends are complaining coz i'm ignoring them..!

bought a Recaro SR-3 model from a forummer, the condition is GREAT..! comes with a R33 Skyline railing which need to be modified to get it fit into my Saga. the feel is great i must say, even though i'm not the one that will seat on it everyday..ahh..hmm..

60mm Throttle Body

a small size of potato engine using a big 60mm throttle body? kinda retarded rite?lol..
its been a while i've been keeping this TB, waiting for the right moment to fit it. It started to rain after i removed 6 bolts to dismantle the intake manifold...darn...a lil bit delay...!!!,

i bought this TB which is for a Mitsubishi/proton 6a12, a v6 type engine. ISC is being removed and i've ordered a block off plate. the intake manifold is being bored to match the 60mm TB which COST ME A LOT than the price of that TB..!!!..talking bout aluminum stuff eh?..it wont be cheap, since i dun hv the proper tools to get it done by myself.

previously, i wuz using 54mm TB from a 4g93 motor, the response is great, everything is fine. jz i wuz keen to know if there is anything gain from a 60mm TB. so..the result..i lose the response..its not crispy as it use to be..3000rpm - 7500rpm is jz a flat response.. :(...but still, its untune, so will get it tune and hopefully the result will be better(maybe)..or..i'll jz revert back to 54mm TB.. :P

received the shipment for my customer today, which is an Aeromotive Fuel Regulator, model A1000-6. Soon it will be fitted in a 4G93 Mivec Turbo Megasquirt. I'll update the pic during the installation.

Specs r as per below:-
Base pressure is adjustable from 40 to 75 PSI.
A true billet regulator designed to be used specifically with our 1000-1500HP Billet Fuel Pumps Alcohol compatible.
Provides two -6 AN ORB inlet ports and one -6 AN ORB return port. Fuel pressure rises on a 1:1 ratio with boost.
1/8" NPT gauge port.
Beautifully finished with type II bright red and clear anodized coatings
